Take a look!
I have completed many trainings in behavior management, including de-escalation strategies and crisis understanding through Region 13; I have used my skills in effectively handling various student behaviors. I've had great success working with students of all behavior types in the past, using personalized approaches to create a positive learning atmosphere where everyone can thrive. I'm dedicated to applying my knowledge and experience to help students reach their academic and social goals.
Hi, I’m Candice Proctor — a teacher, a mom of four, and someone who believes with my whole heart that every child is capable of greatness when given the right support.
My journey to education wasn’t a straight path. I originally earned my degree in financial accounting, but life has a way of pulling you toward your true calling. I went back to school to earn my degree in EC–12 Special Education Mild–Moderate from Western Governors University — and that decision changed everything. I found my passion working with students who need more: more patience, more understanding, more belief in them.
Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering behavior management, including de-escalation strategies and crisis understanding through Region 13. I have successfully supported students with all types of behavioral needs, using personalized approaches that create a safe, positive atmosphere where they can truly thrive. My classroom is a place where students are seen not just for their challenges, but for their potential.
But my mission isn’t just about my own students.
I’m committed to helping other educators succeed too — because when teachers are equipped and confident, they change lives. I want to share what I’ve learned so more students with behavioral needs get the support they deserve.
I’m passionate about math, art, and creating lessons that challenge students to think deeply and creatively. Outside of school, I’m a proud dog mom to Kota, Dolly, and Theo (plus a leopard gecko named Yoshi!). I love sour cream enchiladas, Dragonfruit Refreshers from Starbucks, and the beauty of autumn.
I believe that every moment with students matters — and with the right guidance, patience, and heart, we can open doors that once seemed locked.
